Considered the oldest city in America, St. Augustine beckons visitors with its historic charm, dominating colonial fortresses, and an archaeological park that allegedly is home to Ponce de Leon’s legendary Fountain of Youth. With such a rich history, it’s no surprise that St. Augustine is also filled with tales of epic battles, violent bloodshed, and eccentric individuals. Along with holding the title of the oldest city in America, St. Augustine is notoriously haunted — potentially even the most haunted location in the United States. If you’re brave enough to meet some ancient ghosts, join Nightly Spirits for an up-close look at just what makes this city so spirited!

What to Expect:

Your ghost tour begins at a haunted bar, where you’d be wise to stock up on some actual spirits before seeing some spectral ones. From there, you’ll take a two-and-a-half-hour walking tour through the city. You’ll make stops at local pubs to fuel up on ‘liquid courage.’ The tour ends close to its original meeting spot where your guide will provide additional recommendations for some haunted locales you can visit on your own time.

You will visit 3-4 haunted bars* so there will be plenty of liquid courage available for purchase as you face the former residents of the Ancient city.

*Nightly Spirits does not guarantee that guests will stop at a certain number of bars on any given tour. Routes might change, which means not all bars visited on one tour will be included in another. However, our guides are equipped with plenty of chilling ghost stories. Haunted pub or not, you’ll have plenty of scares (and laughs) to occupy your evening.

• You are not required to purchase alcohol to participate in this tour.
• All tour guests must be 21+ with a valid ID.
• Tours run in all weather, so please dress accordingly.
• This is a walking tour that covers about a mile in total. Because we do visit bars in historic buildings at night, certain sidewalks and roads can be dangerous to walk, crawl, or run on. For this reason, we don’t recommend this tour for guests with mobility issues or highly intoxicated adults that may be unable to navigate the perils of old sidewalks.
