Charlotte Private Spooktacular All-Ages Ghost Walk

The Private Spooktacular Ghost Walk starts at the Dunhill Hotel and covers about a mile of Uptown Charlotte over ninety minutes, hitting as many haunted sites as the clock allows. Your guide stops at the Dunhill itself, where the elevator has a mind of its own, passes the McGlohon Theatre and its lingering performer, and leads you through the historic Wards to Old Settlers Cemetery, where the city's first families were laid to rest, more or less. The walk stays outdoors and does not enter the buildings, so the stories keep moving.

Groups book this for family reunions, scout troops, school clubs, birthday parties, church groups and office teams that want an outing everyone can join. Start as early as 10 am or as late as 8 pm, any day of the week, adjust the duration, pick your own meeting point or add an ice cream or dessert stop along the route. Guests staying at the Dunhill, The Ivey's, Holiday Inn Center City or Aloft Uptown at the EpiCentre can have the guide meet them at the hotel.

Pricing starts at $300 for up to 10 guests, with additional tickets from $25, and rises to $350 from mid-September through mid-November. One guide handles 18 to 22 people depending on the date; larger groups get a second guide. The LYNX streetcar stop at Trade and Tryon is a short walk from the start, and street parking is free after 6 pm.
