Cincinnati Private Booze and Boos Tour
Over-the-Rhine has more 19th-century buildings than almost any neighborhood in America, and a fair number of their original occupants are still inside. This private pub crawl takes your group through them with a costumed guide and a drink at every stop.

The Private Booze and Boos Tour is a 2.5-hour walk through Over-the-Rhine with stops at three to five of the neighborhood's haunted bars, finishing at Taft's Ale House. Your group meets the guide at 8th and Main, near the streetcar stop, and heads north through the brick canyons of OTR, pausing at each bar for a drink while the guide explains who is still hanging around the taps. Between stops you hear about the brewery tunnels under the streets, Music Hall's ticket seller and stagehand who never clocked out, and the German immigrants who built the district and, in some cases, declined to leave it.
This is the format Cincinnati companies book for team-building and holiday parties, and the one friends book for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette weekends and visiting relatives who need convincing that the Queen City is worth the trip. Being private, it bends to you: most tours start between 5 and 8 pm but earlier works, drop a stop to shorten the night, skip the drinks or have the guide meet your group where you are finishing dinner. If your hotel is near the route, lobby pickup may be possible.
Pricing starts at $350 for up to 10 guests, with additional tickets from $30, and rises to $400 from mid-September through mid-November. One guide handles 15 to 20 people depending on the date; groups of 15 or more book by email and larger groups are split across guides. Everyone must be 21 or older with ID. For guests under 21 we offer a 90-minute private ghost walk with no bar stops. If you drive, park near Taft's Ale House or Washington Park.

How many guests can join?
The base rate covers up to 10 guests and one guide takes 15 to 20 depending on the date. Larger groups are split across guides at an additional charge; groups of 15 or more book by email.
Are drinks included?
No. Drinks average $8 to $14 at the bars. Guests can pay individually or the organizer can cover the group tab.
Someone in our group is under 21. Options?
This tour is strictly 21+ with ID, but we can run a 90-minute private ghost walk with no bar stops for mixed-age groups.
What about weather?
We tour rain, snow or shine. The bar stops are indoors and the walks between them are short, so bring a jacket and keep going.
