Denver Private Booze and Boos Tour, Lower Downtown
LoDo's oldest bars have been serving since Denver was a mining camp, and a few patrons have been there the whole time. This private pub crawl takes your group through four of them with a costumed guide and nobody else along.

The Private Booze and Boos Tour is a 2.5-hour walk through Lower Downtown with stops at four of Denver's historic haunted bars. Your group meets the guide a few blocks from Union Station and sets off through the brick warehouses and Victorian storefronts of LoDo, pausing at each bar for a drink while the guide explains who is still at the table in the corner. Between stops you hear about the once-notorious red-light district on Market Street, the Oxford Hotel's 1889 tragedy and the saloon-era justice that left a lot of unfinished business.
Denver companies book this for team-building and holiday parties, and friends book it for birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette weekends and visiting relatives who need a reason to leave the brewery. Being private, it bends to your plans: most tours start between 6 and 9:30 pm but afternoons work, drop a stop to shorten the night, skip the drinks or have the guide meet your group where you are finishing dinner. If your hotel is close to the route, lobby pickup may be possible.
Pricing starts at $350 for up to 10 guests, with additional tickets from $30, and rises to $400 from mid-September through mid-November. One guide handles 14 to 20 people depending on the date; groups of 15 or more book by email and larger groups are split across guides. Everyone must be 21 or older with ID, and some LoDo bars refuse vertical IDs, so bring a passport if yours is one. Light rail reaches Union Station, the free 16th Street Mall Ride is two blocks away, and garages line Market Street between 14th and 17th.

How many guests can we bring?
The base rate covers up to 10 guests and one guide takes 14 to 20 depending on the date. Larger groups are split across guides at an additional charge; groups of 15 or more book by email.
Are drinks included?
No. Drinks average $8 to $14 at the bars. Guests pay their own way or the organizer can cover the group tab, and your guide knows the specials.
What ID do we need?
Everyone must be 21+ with valid ID. Some Denver bars will not accept vertical IDs, so bring a passport or other horizontal ID if that applies to you.
Does the tour run in winter?
Yes, rain, snow or shine. The bar stops are warm and the walks between them are short. Bring a coat and the ghosts will do the rest.
