San Antonio Haunted History Field Trip
The Alamo, the River Walk and the founding of San Antonio, told by a costumed guide who also happens to know where the ghosts are. Our field trip gets students out of the classroom and onto the streets where Texas history actually happened.
📍 Departs from: Alamo Plaza, by the Susanna Dickinson Statue — please arrive about 15 minutes early to check in with your guide.
Groups meet their guide at Alamo Plaza and begin with the Alamo itself and why it matters to Texas history, including the ghostly soldiers who reportedly never stood down. From there the walk passes some of the most haunted hotels in the city and its oldest buildings, where the guide covers the founding members of San Antonio and the Mexican folklore woven through its early years, then heads to the quieter stretches of the River Walk to explain how and why it was built.
The walking tour is recommended for ages 9 and up and is offered to school groups, camps and youth organizations Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, for groups of 5 to 100. For younger students a guide can come to you in historic costume with stories and games adjusted to the age level. Our guides are storytellers with San Antonio history and paranormal backgrounds, experienced with kids of all ages and fully background-checked. Most spirits are friendly, and guides know where to steer around the rest.
Pricing is a flat $215 for groups of 15 or fewer, $15 per student for 16 to 40 and $13 per student over 40, each plus a 15% service charge. One chaperone per 10 students is free, aides for participants with disabilities are free and extra adults are $20. Alamo Plaza has room for bagged lunches with restrooms nearby, and the Buckhorn Saloon and Museum, Ripley's and the Majestic Theatre are an easy add-on.

What ages is the field trip for?
The walking tour is recommended for ages 9 and up. For younger classes a costumed guide can visit your site with age-appropriate stories and games.
How do we book?
Field trips are for schools, camps and youth organizations only, weekdays 9 am to 5 pm. Contact us with your date, group size and grade level.
What about weather?
The tour runs rain or shine and is mostly outdoors. Have students wear comfortable shoes and dress for the forecast. Extreme weather may lead to cancellation under our terms.
Can students with special needs join?
Yes. Tell us in advance and the guide will adapt the route and stories. Aides supporting participants with disabilities join free.
