Dallas Spooktacular All-Ages Ghost Walk
Downtown Dallas has haunted hotels, a jazz legend who still takes the stage and a surprising number of employees who kept working after they died. The Spooktacular is our family-friendly, 90-minute way to meet them.
📍 Departs from: Main Street Garden Park. At the cafe on the corner of Main and St. Paul. — please arrive about 15 minutes early to check in with your guide.
The walk starts and ends at Main Street Garden Park, which happens to offer a clear view of some of the most haunted buildings downtown. From there your costumed guide leads the group just under a mile through the spookiest corners of Pegasus City, pausing beneath old office towers and grand hotels to explain who is still inside. Think of it as a walking tour of Dallas history where the history occasionally walks back.
The stories include spirits who clocked in for decades after their funerals, hotel guests who may find they have an uninvited roommate, and a jazz musician whose performances did not stop when his life did. Most of the ghosts you will hear about are friendly, and our guides adjust the telling for the youngest in the group, so eight-year-olds get a thrill and grandparents get a laugh. If the timing works, the group may swing past Old Town Sweet Shop, though we cannot promise it and the candy is on you.
The tour runs about ninety minutes on weekend afternoons and evenings, all outdoors and rain or shine, so dress for Dallas weather and wear comfortable shoes. Minors need an accompanying adult, and children 4 and under join free with a paying adult. Your guide will have dinner recommendations ready when you land back at the park.

Is it suitable for young kids?
Yes. It is our all-ages tour and the guide keeps the stories spooky but friendly. Minors must be with an adult, and kids 4 and under are free.
How much walking is there, and can we bring a stroller?
A little under a mile over 90 minutes on downtown sidewalks, which are mostly smooth and flat. Strollers and wheelchairs manage well.
Does the tour stop at any bars?
No. There are no drink stops on the Spooktacular. We may pass a sweet shop if time allows, and your guide will suggest dinner at the end.
What if it rains?
We walk rain or shine, so bring a poncho or umbrella. If conditions become unsafe we will contact you about rescheduling.
