Houston Private Nightmares and Nightcaps Tour
One haunted downtown bar, one nightcap and ninety minutes of H-Town's grown-up ghost stories, all for your group alone. The Private Nightmares and Nightcaps Tour is the darker, shorter cousin of our pub crawl.
📍 Departs from: Hotel ICON, 220 Main St. INSIDE the Congress Street Lobby Entrance. — please arrive about 15 minutes early to check in with your guide.
Your group meets its costumed guide at Hotel ICON and steps into a haunted bar for an optional nightcap while the guide explains who else is drinking there, and since when. Then you head out for about a mile of walking through downtown Houston, past the old bank buildings, Market Square and the Victorian blocks where the stories we leave off the family tour belong: the banker who ended it all in his office, the fires that took City Hall three times and the tenants who never moved out.
This tour fits a friends' night out, a bachelorette crew that wants chills with its cocktails, a date night with a pulse or a work team that prefers one good drink and a lot of good stories to a long crawl. Private tours run every day with start times from 1 pm to 10 pm, and the duration, meeting location and drink stop can be adjusted. Guests at Hotel ICON, The Lancaster, The Sam Houston, The Magnolia, Hyatt Place Downtown or the Londale can have the guide meet them at the hotel.
Pricing starts at $325 for up to 10 guests, with additional tickets from $27.50, and rises to $375 from mid-September through mid-November. One guide takes 18 to 22 guests depending on the date; groups of 16 or more book by email and larger groups add a guide. Everyone must be 18 or older, and only guests 21+ with ID may buy alcohol. Your guide closes the night with a recommendation for another favorite haunted bar.

Do guests need to be 21?
No. The tour is 18 and over. Only guests ordering the nightcap need to be 21 with valid ID.
How is this different from the Booze and Boos?
Shorter and darker. One bar stop instead of four, ninety minutes instead of two and a half hours, and stories told without the filter.
How do we book a larger group?
Base pricing covers up to 10 guests. Reserve online for up to 15 and email us for 16 or more so we can add a guide.
What if the weather turns?
We walk rain or shine, and the first stop is indoors. If conditions become unsafe we will reach out about rescheduling.
