Houston Private Spooktacular All-Ages Ghost Walk

The Private Spooktacular Ghost Walk covers about a mile of downtown Houston over ninety minutes, packing in as many haunted sites as the clock allows. Your guide leads you through the blocks around Market Square Park, where City Hall burned three times, past the old Houston National Bank at Hotel ICON and its long-serving ghost, and down toward Buffalo Bayou, where the city's founders are said to still keep watch. The walk stays outdoors and does not enter the buildings, so the stories keep moving and the pace stays brisk.

Groups book this for family reunions, scout troops, school clubs, birthday parties, church groups and office teams that want an outing everyone can join regardless of age. Start as early as 10 am or as late as 10 pm, any day of the week, adjust the length, choose your own meeting point or add an ice cream or dessert stop on tours starting before 4 pm. Guests at Hotel ICON, The Lancaster, The Sam Houston, The Magnolia, Hyatt Place Downtown or the Londale can have the guide meet them at the hotel.

Pricing starts at $300 for up to 10 guests, with additional tickets from $25, and rises to $350 from mid-September through mid-November. One guide can take 20 to 25 guests depending on the date; groups of 16 or more book by email and larger groups add a second guide. The Preston Street METRORail stop is a short walk from the route, and parking near Old Market Square is convenient. Street parking is free after 6 pm, if you can find it.
