New Orleans Private Spooktacular Ghost Walk

The Private Spooktacular Ghost Walk starts at St. Louis Cathedral on Jackson Square and covers about a mile of the French Quarter over ninety minutes, packing in as many haunted sites as the clock allows. Your guide leads you through Pirates Alley, past the oldest buildings in the city and along the blocks where voodoo queens, pirates and Creole aristocrats left stories behind, stopping at the mansions, hotels and courtyards that still report company. The walk stays outdoors and does not enter the buildings, so the stories keep moving.

Groups book this for family reunions, school clubs, scout troops, wedding-weekend outings, birthday parties and conference groups that want something everyone can join regardless of age or drinking habits. Start as early as 10 am or as late as 8:30 pm, any day of the week, adjust the length, choose your own meeting point or add an ice cream or dessert stop. If your group is staying anywhere inside the Quarter, the guide can walk to your hotel and begin there.

Pricing starts at $300 for up to 10 guests, with additional tickets from $25, and rises to $350 from mid-September through mid-November. One guide takes 18 to 22 guests depending on the date; groups of 16 or more book by email and larger groups add a second guide. Adults of legal age may carry a go-cup. Parking in the Quarter is a nightmare of its own, so ride-share or the $1.25 streetcar to Canal Street is the way in.
