Alexandria Private Nightmares and Nightcaps Ghost Walk
A darker, grown-up ghost walk through Old Town Alexandria, kept just for your group. It starts at a haunted bar, ends with a recommendation for another, and in between the stories get properly unsettling.

Nightmares and Nightcaps is the walk we run when the kids have gone to bed. Your group meets its costumed guide at The Alexandrian Hotel and heads into a haunted bar for an optional nightcap while the guide explains exactly who is still pouring drinks there. From there you cover about a mile of Old Town's historic blocks over ninety minutes, past centuries-old buildings where the stories are not softened for younger ears. Think restless soldiers, scandal-ridden politicians and residents who refused to leave even after the funeral.
Because it is private, the night belongs to your group: friends in town for a weekend, a bachelorette party that wants something spookier than another rooftop bar, a work team that needs a reason to talk about something other than work. Start times run from 1 pm to 9 pm, any day of the week, and you can adjust the duration, meeting location and drink stop to taste. Staying at the Hotel Indigo or The Alexandrian Old Town? Your guide will meet you in the lobby.
Pricing starts at $325 for up to 10 guests, with additional tickets from $27.50, and climbs to $375 during the mid-September to mid-November rush. One guide can take 16 to 22 people depending on the date; groups of 16 or more should email to book. Everyone must be 18 or older, and only guests 21+ with ID can purchase the nightcap. Your guide finishes by pointing you toward a favorite haunted bar to keep the evening going.

Who can come on this tour?
Guests 18 and older. You do not need to drink, but anyone buying a nightcap at the first stop must be 21+ with a valid ID.
How scary is it compared to the Spooktacular?
Noticeably. This is the version where the guide does not hold back on the grim details. Still fun, just less family-friendly.
How does booking work for bigger groups?
Reserve online for up to 15 guests. For 16 or more, email us so we can add a second guide. Base pricing covers 10 guests, with extra tickets per person.
Do you cancel for bad weather?
Rarely. We walk rain or shine and the first stop is indoors. If weather becomes unsafe we will reach out to reschedule.
