Alexandria Private Booze and Boos Tour

The Private Booze and Boos Tour is a 2.5-hour haunted pub crawl through Old Town Alexandria, built for groups who want the ghosts and the drinks without sharing a guide with strangers. You will visit three or four of the area's haunted watering holes along King Street and the surrounding blocks, settling in for one drink at each while your guide unpacks the stories of the spirits who still hang around the bar. Between stops you walk the same cobblestones that colonial merchants, soldiers and the occasional scoundrel walked before you.

This is the go-to format for team-building nights, corporate outings, birthdays, bachelor and bachelorette weekends and holiday parties. Because the tour is private, we can bend it around your plans: drop a stop to shorten the night, skip the drinks for a dry version, or start and finish near the restaurant where your group is eating. We can even pick you up in the lobby of the Hotel Indigo or The Alexandrian Old Town. Afternoon tours are possible, though most groups start between 6 and 9 pm.

Pricing starts at $350 for up to 10 guests, with extra tickets from $30 each, and the base rate steps up during the busy mid-September to mid-November season. One guide comfortably handles 15 to 20 people; bigger crowds are split across multiple guides. Everyone needs to be 21 or over with a valid ID, and drinks run around $8 to $14 each at the bars.
